Addons Eso How To Install
Hello everyone and welcome to my top everyday addons video 2017 for the elder scrolls online Some Addons are maybe only for special occasions and others Addons are overall a great additon for your gaming experience As always i try to make this overview as compact and fast as possible If you look for a specfic addon you can take a look in the description To install easy and fast Addons i recommend to use Minion which i will link in the description Also you can find a Video how to install and use Minion if you need help with this topic So let`s get started and i hope you will enjoy the video Advanced Filters is in my opinion a must have addon.
Depending on the issue you have encountered, there are several ways to repair The Elder Scrolls Online game files. You can select one of the scenarios below, or click the link to view this ESO Help video for all three repair options. The Play Button reads 'Play' or 'Update'. No addon folder when using steam. Just download minion 3 for your add-on needs, it will find it own way to the right ESO file. Has all addons listen in it, alost automatically installs the addons to the game. It will also allow you to update the addons.
This Addon will improve the interface of your Main inventory, personal bank, guild bank, guild store, vendors and craft bag It also will give you extra subfilters to find exactly what you’re looking for That sounds all not much but it is so much easier to search stuff in your bank or inventory with all this handy filters and i am really happy with this addon AwesomeGuildStore adds to the guild store interface many usefull things For example subfilter catogories similar to the Advanced Filter Addon Then you get range sliders for level, price and quality filers Also you have text search to filter your current page and many more features This great addon improves the trader interface a lot and i would recommend everyone who wants to buy or sell things via the guild traders to use AwesomeGuildStore AI Research Grid is a really handy Addon which i use a lot This addon allows you to have all the time access to the trait and style knowledge of all your characters To open or close the AI Research grid you can create your own keybinding or use the command /airg It shows you the research timers for your current Trait researches for Blacksmithing, Woodworking and Clothing All Traits with marked with an X you still have to research, green check marks mean that you already research this trait and the hourglass means that you research at the moment this trait You can hover over the hourglass and you will see how much research time is left At the top right you can any time switch between all your characters And at the bottem you have an overview about all the styles and which motif chapters all your characters know CookeryWiz is my favourite Addon for Provsisioning.
It is a great cooking tool and provides you with a list of all available recipes You have many search filters, like text search or by quality or level And you can mark dishes as favourites You can see see what recipes each of your characters knows and even better you can share this information with other friends who use cookerywiz too Like that it is easy to share your extra recipes with your friends Also you get an icon next to the recipes in your inventory, bank and guild store where you can see who of your characters or friends does need to learn the cooking recipe.
And CookeryWiz can help you with your Daily Provisiniong Crafting Writs When you pick up the Provsioning Writ from the notice board the order will get placed in cookerywiz When you approach then a cooking station you just have to press cook and you are done Overall a helpful tool which i use every day for my daily writs or when i have to prepare meals or drinks for my own characters and for friends Crafted Potions is a small but really useful Addon Often the default potions look all the same and you have to read the description to see which potions did you craft Here the Crafted Potions addon will help you and color the potions for you If the potions are crafted and have one bonus they will be green, with two bonuses they will be blue and with 3 bonuses they will be purple I like this addon a lot since i can direct and easily identify by color which are my crafted potions The next addon is Destinations which shows you various points of interests on your Map.
For example wayshrines, public Dungeons, Mundus Stones, Dolmens, Group Bosses, Group Dungeons, Quest Hubs, Crafting Locations, Solo Dungeons, Group Events, Group Delves,Trials, werwolf and vampire shrines and many more things In the Addon options or direct at the Map Filter options you can customize what you want to see on your map and compass To Save and switch easily Skills and Gear Sets i can recommend you the Addon Dressing Room You have to install also the DressingRoom Update 13 Ability Fixup Tool To use this addon fix, simply type the /fixdr command into your chat You need to do this only once per character.
For me Dressing Room works really good and it is easy to understand When you want to save your Armor you have to Shift click the shield sign To save your current skill bars youve to shift click this small sword icon At the top field you can write your description and when you hover over this field with your mouse you can see what armor, weapons and jewelry are saved You can also click on the big SET 1 button which will load then the gear and both skill bars To delete a gear or a skill bar you have to controll + click on the shield or sword icon So when you have go change often gear or skills for pve, pvp, dungeons or trials dressing room will be handy for you Now i will show you one of my favourite Addons Dolugbon`s Lazy Writ Crafter looks so simple but does an amazing job Of course this addons is only interesting for you if you do your daily crafting writs and master crafting writs Dolugbons`s Lazy Writ Crafter will help to speed up and automate the daily crafting wirts for you There are several options to choose in the addon properties.
For example you can decide which style materials it shoud use By default it will use the common styles Also you can activate that it grabs the writs from the notice board and that it automaticly crafts when you use a crafting station Then can skip the dialog when you drop of the daily writ goods When you turn on the autoloot feature the Addon will open the reward containers for you Dolugbon`s Lazy Writ Crafter can help you with the daily writs and Master Crafting Writs from Woodworking, Clothing, Blacksmithing and Enchanting Since i have at the moment 4 characters this addon helps me a lot to get my daily crafting writs fast and easy done Furniture Catalogue is at the moment in beta but i use it already for a while and it works most of the time pretty well This addon will provide with an extra window where you can take a look what furniture plans your characters know You have serveral search filter like crafting type, quality, character.
Then you have and overview about all furniture and which materials you need to craft Additionaly this addon can show you where you can find purchasable furniture and how much they cost Most important for me is the tooltip on on the furniture plan so i can easily see if my furniture crafter knows this plan already or not Keep in mind that this addon is still in beta, but give it a try as it seems really promissing and helpful The next addon is about Furniture too FurniturePreview does what its name alreadys says: you can preview with one click furniture and furniture plans This works in trading windows, inventory, mail window, guild trader, merchants or the bank When you see this magnifying glass and left click you will see in the background a preview of the furniture piece Achievement and some rare furnitures cant be previewed I like this addon a lot since i prefer to take a look on the furniture plan before i buy it.
GroupLootNotifier can be really handy if you try to farm with a group a specific set This Addon will display in the chat window what items you and your group memebers looted It will only show notable items like set items of any color quality and any item of purple quality or better Also it will display motifs, recipes or treasure maps I only activate this addon if i try to farm with friends Sets and this Addon is for that situation really nice Harven`s Trait and Style is a small useful Addon It will add to the armor and weapon tooltip Information about the Style and Trait of the item Also you can display on the tooltip if an item is researchable for a character In the addon options you can turn off or on alt characters My main reason for this Addon is that i want to know the what Style the Armor and Weapon pieces have HarvestMap displays resources nodes, chests and fishing spots on your map and compass.
There are various options you can tweak and you can even have 3d pins The icons will show up after you picked the nodes up and you can even import other players data In case you don`t want to see specific nodes you can turn them in the options off This addon is really handy if you want to farm materials and you wish to easily see where are the specifc nodes on your map Itemization Browser is a good addon if you want to have ingame and overview of all item sets available in Tamriel If you want to know what a specific Set does or where you can acquire it this addon is really useful The easiest way to access the Addon is to set a shorcut in your keybinding menu Otherwise you can open it with the command /itembrowser in the chat window It will open an extra window where you have an overview about crafted, overland, cyrodiil, dungeons, trials, bind on on equip and bind on pickup Sets.
You various filter options like specific set, type, bonus, dungeon and you have even a text search Then i use Lui Extended It is a huge addon but you can customize it to your needs This addon can show your and target buffs and debuffs, cooldowns, combat text, damage meter change the look of your, enemy and group unit frames and many more things Personaly i use it for the long term buffs which i placed on the top left of my screen, then the buffs and debuffs which you can move freely around on the screen too And the combat text and damage meter As you can see the there are 4 parts in the addon options for Lui Extended with million of things what you can tweak and change to your wishes You can change and customize the look of your user interface a lot Lootdrop is not a necessary addon for everyone.
Since i play the most of the time with a controller i got annoyed by the ingame options which shows the loot at the chat window position The LootDrop frame is movable so i could place it on the bottem right of the screen Beside of loot this addon also displays other things like XP, Inspiriation, Alliance Points and Tel Var Stones In the Addon options menu you can customize Lootdrop for your needs Most people probably know aleady Lorebooks but since it is such a useful addon it has to be on the list If you want to gather fast the Lorebooks from the Mages Guild you really need this addon Lorebooks will add pins on your map and compass for all collectable books in the elderscrolls online This works for Lorebooks and the Eidetic Memory collection In the addon options you can for example change the map icon and size Also you can decide what books you want to show on your map and compass Lost Treasure is one of my must have addons and i would everyone recommend to use it.
I still remember when i started to play the Elderscrolls Online and i got my first treasure map I was looking at the picture and tried to find out where is that location After running around for a while i decided to search the postion online So i had to tab out all the time and look where i have to go I was so happy when i found the Lost Treasure Addon which will mark survey and treasue map locations on your map and compass with an X.
In addon options you can customize the icon look and size and you can turn off or on survey or treasure locations Master Merchant is a really heavy addon for your PC But if you want ot be a serious trader in Tamriel you should consider to get this Addon It will help you to find the right prices for your goods Since Master Merchant takes the prices from the guilds you are a member in it can be that you will not have a price for every item If you miss a price you can ask in your guild if maybe someone else has a Master Merchant price This Addon has a lot of options you can customize Options you should maybe consider are :Ignore outlier Prizes and autoadvance to next page If you have login problems you should consider to limit the history size and delay the initialization Master Merchant not only provides you with pricing tooltips it has an overview about all your sales in every guild, your sale rank in your guilds and how much taxes you had to pay.
You can see every item you sold, the buyer, which guild and the time you sold it With the Reset button you can clear your Master Merchant history and it will get from the server fresh data This you should consider to do frequently since the prices can change fast in Tamriel Multicraft is a great small useful addon if you want to craft or refine big amounts of materials This addon adds a spinner to all crafting professions and allows you to craft as many items as you can create with only one click instead of having to click each time you want to craft an item At crafting Station, use – or + buttons or mousewheel or simply type the quantity you want to craft Hold Ctrl, Alt or Shift to jump 10 by 10 to go even quicker Then click refine or craft and wait that the crafting job is done.
A really small Addon but makes your life so much easier Potion Maker is a super addon for Alchemy It will provide you with an extra interface for Potions and Poisons You can look for specific traits and ingredients or filter for daily writ quests You can create your own Favourite list for potions and poisons you want to craft frequently Potion Maker is also a good help if you want to discover all Alchemy traits I use this addon already for a long time and im pretty happy with it Research Assistant adds little icons to your inventory list.
Next to your weapons and armor wou will see a orange icon if you still need to research this trait A yellow icon will appear if you have already an item with the same trait in your inventory You will also get extra icons for intricate and ornate items Research Assistant is marked as outdated but for me it works still without problem Next we talk about the Addon Skyshards This nice addon will place Skyshard pins on your map Sounds like a small change but makes your life a lot easier In the addon options you can choose what icon and icon size you want and that the pin gets displayed on the compass Recap on the skill panel let you choose between basic, detail and advanced At your skill overview you can see with basic just how many skyshards you need to get a skillpoint Detailed shows how many skyshards you collected from the 381.
Skyshards in the world And Advanced combines basic and detailed TiEmote Extended is not really a must have addon But if you are like me and you forget all the time the emote commends you can use this small addon As you can see it is just a long list of emotes With left click you can activate it and with right click the emote will be placed to your favourite emote group Also you can activate that you can use your favourite emotes via a key and the addon will pick randomly a emote from your favourite list No, thank you! is a nice addon which let you silent and redirect different messages and notifications.
I was looking for a tool to block the Messages from Cyrodill and this addon does a great job As you can see there are many options what you can change like guild notifications, or block different dialogs There are a lot of options what you can turn of and on or redirect to the chat or as notification You can find a compact description on the esoui page of the NO Thank you addon and see if this addon is intersting for you In general if you are looking to block some notificaton ingame this addon can probably help you.
Last but not least we have two Addons from Wykkyd Wykkyd Toolbar and Wykkyd Enhanced Hud The Toolbar adds to your game a customizable and movable Toolbar You can display your Clock, Ping, FPS, Alliance Points, Gold, Bag Space, Soul Gems ,Horse Timer, Research Timers, Level, Experience, Werewolf and Vampire experience bar, Character Name, Class and Race In the options you can use the mimic option to mimic another characters settings for this addon Wykkyd Enhanced Hud gives you some options to change the look and position of your health, magicka, stamina and the enemy bar You can switch the font, colors and you can decide if you want to see by numbers and percentages how much ressources you have left Again you have the opportunity to mimic your settings to another character.
If you want to use the same layout You can probably find similar Addons but i use the Wykked Toolbar and Enhanced Hud already more than a year and im happy with them There are for sure many more great Addons which i still have to discover Maybe you use some Addon which i should try out? Also i wanted to thank all Addon creators for their hard work over all this years Hopefully you enjoyed my top everyday Addon List for 2017 and found maybe some new Addons you want to try It would be awesome if you subscribe like or leave me a comment Have a good day and until next time Tschüß!
As found on Youtube
Most people have never used addons or any kind of mods in a game, others opt for quality of life improvements, and some can’t live without them (this is me).
Hopefully, The Elder Scrolls Online carries the series’ tradition, and is moddable. To be exact it’s extendable, so there are addons that make playing the game, and managing your character more enjoyable.
I know first-hand that once you install the mods below, there’s no going back (in a good way). I won’t judge Zenimax Online’s choices, they wanted to provide a clean and minimal experience with their interface, and what they have achieved is beautiful, and one of a kind in an MMO.
But there are times where you want to explore and immerse yourself in the world, and others where the real world is calling too, and too much immersion can turn into frustration.
So enough of my chit-chat, let’s list the most essential ESO addons, whether everyone uses them, or no one has heard of their glory.
Table of Contents
- 3 I. Essential Map AddOns
- 4 II. Essential Interface & Leveling AddOns
- 5 III. Essential Combat AddOns
- 6 IV. Essential Item Management AddOns
- 7 V. Essential Crafting & Trading AddOns
- 8 VI. Other Helpful AddOns
- 9 VII. How to Manage All These AddOns
Native “AddOns” or Else Tweaking the Game Settings
Before we go ahead and start installing addons like crazy, there’s a few things (a lot actually) that you can tweak from the in-game settings, and make your life easier.
There’s 3 things I always do when I first set up a character:
- Settings -> Gameplay -> Auto Loot to ON
- Settings -> Interface -> Chat Bubbles to ON
- Settings -> Nameplates -> Nameplates to ON (I set up Self -> Always as well, but that’s up to preference)
Installing Minion or Else Your 1-Click AddOn Solution
The best & safest way to install / update and delete your addons is an application called Minion. Realtek high definition audio microphone. Go ahead and download it here, then open it, point it to ESO’s addon folder (this is usually C:userDocumentsElder Scrolls OnlineliveAddOns) and it will be ready to go.
There’s 4 tabs in Minion, your Installed addons, a tab labeled “Find More” which lets you search addons from esoui.com directly from Minion, a Backup option to transfer your addons and settings in another system, and some basic options.
To install all the addons we list below, simply navigate to “Find More”, and copy-paste the addon name.
Installing the addons manually is not rocket science, you just drop the downloaded folders inside the AddOns folder which we mentioned above. Minion just makes it easier to keep track of everything.
I. Essential Map AddOns
Enhancing your map experience, is one of the core reasons you will be using addons in ESO.
Again, exploration and immersion is amazing, but you can’t hope to find everything without any map markers in a single lifetime.
Votan’s Minimap
Author: votan
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1399-VotansMiniMap.html
First things first you will need a mini-map. I can’t stress this enough, chances are you are already aching for one, so go ahead and make your life easier!
You will find various styling / sizing options in Votan’s Minimap, so don’t worry about how it’s going to fit in your interface.
The most popular minimap choice is actually MiniMap by Fyrakin, but compatibility updates take a little while, and although very versatile, I’ve found myself using Votan’s Minimap to a better extent in the end (after thousands of hours in the game).
Tip: The minimap hides itself by default in combat, and that gets annoying when you’re multitasking. Simply change that in Settings -> Addons -> Votan’s Minimap.
SkyShards
Author: Garkin, Ayantir & AssemblerManiac
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info128-SkyShards.html
All skyshards you haven’t yet gathered will show up on your map, compass and mini-map, with an option to hide them when gathered as well, enough said.
Tip: When playing with friends, it’s a good idea to not hide the collected SkyShards, as you can be the one yelling “there’s a Skyshard there” to your team, and get praised.
LoreBooks
Author: Garkin, Ayantir & Kyoma
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info288-LoreBooks.html
Similar with SkyShards, LoreBooks will reveal all lorebooks which grant you Mages Guild XP on your map, so it’s very easy to collect them while questing.
Tip: Even though the default icons of the addon look GREAT, and are very lore-friendly, I prefer to use the ESO style ones, because they are black & white, and blend better on my map.
Destinations
Author: SnowmanDK & MasterLenman
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info667-Destinations.html
Another essential map addon, Destinations will mark all types of POIs on your map, the ones that the rest addons don’t. World Bosses, Wayshrines, Delves, Quest Hubs you name it!
QuestMap
Author: Captain Blagbird
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1022-QuestMap.html
QuestMap is purely essential for completionists, since it shows you all available quests on your map / mini-map.
The only downside, is that since it gets the data from the game’s API, it doesn’t know the quests’ starting / ending points, therefore it might show several pins for a single quest (it’s all these moments you stop to get the next step or talk with someone).
Tip: In order to keep your map in order, and un-flooded, I suggest that you use the native ESO icons (that look like the default pins, not the exclamation marks), and that you make them as small as possible.
Lost Treasure
Author: CrazyDutchGuy
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info561-LostTreasure.html
The treasure / survey puzzles in ESO are awesome, but let’s face it, no one’s got the spare time for that.
Lost Treasure works in a great, non-obtrusive way, letting you either mark the treasures on your inventory, the ones you’ve used, or all the locations that exist (you can’t pick up treasures without having the respective item).
HarvestMap (EsoheadMarkers)
Author: Shinni
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info57-HarvestMapEsoheadMarkers.html
Another precious addon, HarvestMap will put a marker on your map / mini-map / compass (with many customization options) for anything you gather. This includes all resources for crafting, chests, thief containers and more.
It’s going to be a great help the more you re-visit areas, and help you with looting whether you are a crafter, a treasure hunter, or both.
Tip: If you’re like me, and gather hundreds of nodes / area, your map is going to look a bit hectic with all these symbols and colors. As a (great) solution, I have made all the markers a pale color, so that it blends with the map, and all the black / white markers stand out.
Tip 2: HarverMap offers 3D pins for harvestables by default, and they are ugly as f**k. Deactivate them by opening any menu screen, then going to HarvestMap’s menu on the far right, and clicking on 3D Pins -> Off.
Dungeon Tracker
Author: Phinix
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1552-DungeonTracker.html
Another great addition for completionists, this one will let you track your dungeon progress across all of your characters (or the ones you want).
This way you won’t have to scour through the achievements tab in order to identify what’s next
Votan’s Improved Locations
Author: votan
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1096-VotansImprovedLocations.html
There’s two main reasons I use this one, a) I have OCD so knowing the “correct” order of faction areas to clear is very important lore-wise and b) it’s just way easier to find what you’re looking for, since areas are sorted by faction.
Votan’s Improved Quests
Author: votan
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1523-VotansImprovedQuests.html
Similarly to Improved Locations, this one will group & sort the quests on your map in a much more user-friendly way, letting you devise your next steps in the game.
II. Essential Interface & Leveling AddOns
FCM Quest Tracker
Author: DesertDwellers
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1717-FCMQuestTracker.html
“WoW is the first MMO” (inside joke for global chat), so I gotta have a sticky quest list on the right of the interface!
I used to use Ravalox’s Quest Tracker, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s going to get updated for some time. FCMQT does the job just as well, with a customizable & non-obtrusive quest list on your screen, so you don’t have to search every single quest, every single time!
Urich’s Skill Point Finder
Author: fritzOSU03
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1863-UrichsSkillPointFinder.html
Urich’s Life Saver, I really don’t believe this one has so few downloads, I guess most people don’t even know it exists.
AS you can tell, it provides you with the amazing screen above, where you can see in detail all the skill points you’re missing, and what’s the best way to go about it when you need a few more Skill Points!
Harven’s Improved Skills Window
Author: Harven
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info489-HarvensImprovedSkillsWindow.html
Another essential one, since it will let you preview all morphed abilities when hovering on a skill, making your life a whole lot easier when thinking out builds, and trying to figure out which morph complements your stats more.
I really think it’s a flaw of ESO that they don’t provide us with such information.
Bag Space Indicator
Author: lordrichter
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1181-BagSpaceIndicator.html
There’s a ton of bag watchers out there, and there’s a ton of mods that include an inventory / gold on-screen display as a complementary solution.
Even though I’m using WykkydToolbar for all my data, I need a more prominent, yet at the same time unobtrusive way to quickly check on my bag / bank space as well as the gold I’m carrying on me.
Votan’s Achievements Overview
Author: votan
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1001-VotansAchievementsOverview.html
A small quality of life change here from Votan, it will replace you Achievements Summary screen with information relevant to achievements you’re working on.
So instead of the completion / achievement group dashboard, you will get something more meaningful, like quickly checking how many more quests you need for Master Explorer, or how close you are on fishing everything in the area.
III. Essential Combat AddOns
Combat Metrics
Author: decay2
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1360-CombatMetrics.html
I still haven’t found the ideal Group DPS meter, being so used to WoW’s philosophy, that any tool seems hard to understand.
Combat Metrics is an amazing addon though, using a light mode to display your DPS or Healing per Second, as well as having the option to save important fights, and take your time to analyze your & the group’s damage, with an extremely detailed break-down that will make even analysts wear their glasses.
PvpMeter
Author: marig63
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1760-PvpMeter.html
This is an amazing addon for PvP that I just got my hands on, and it’s up to the highest standards all authors should follow, as far as user-friendliness and aesthetics go.
There’s many different helpful modules here, like a separate meter for Cyrodiil & Imperial City, another one for Battlegrounds and even one for personal Duels!
What’s more, there’s an in-depth dashboard that’s inspired by Combat Metrics (the DPS addon above), which keeps a nice in-depth PvP history of your character. Amazing!
Foundry Tactical Combat
Author: Rhyono
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1611-FoundryTacticalCombatFTC-Summerset.html
FTC is a small suite of combat-oriented addons, of which I only use the Unit Frames, since I prefer other solutions for on-screen damage, scrolling combat and buff tracking.
The game’s default unit frames are quite bad in my opinion, since they provide with little to no information about your group, and it’s quite hard to keep track of the values, and who might need help on your team.
As you can tell this one “breaks” the immersion aesthetically, but for me it looks way better, and will enhance your combat awareness at all times.
Tip: Go to Settings -> Addons -> FTC and unlock windows, in order to place every element where you need it.
Addons Eso How To Install Fire Stick
IV. Essential Item Management AddOns
Advanced Filters
Author: Randactyl & ingeniousclown
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info245-AdvancedFilters.html
It’s a crime to play ESO without Advanced Filters.
As you can tell from the screenshot above, it provides you with sub-categories in each category of your inventory / bank / guild trader, making item management 10 times easier and more fun.
Dressing Room Reborn
Author: code65536 & Dolgubon
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1911-DressingRoomReborn.html
This is not an addon for new players, but it’s a must-have for the end game.
It lets you save gear / skill sets at will, and even though it’s very prone to human errors, and you will have to get used to the saving system, if you do, you can actually swap to your PvP, PvE, w/e gear & skills with a single click.
This is huge, and I personally can’t live without it, since I tend to PvP & PvE a ton with my main.
Furniture Catalogue
Author: manavortex
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1617-FurnitureCatalogue.html
Essential only for the furniture crafters and interior designers out there, this one provides you will a full list of all furniture in the game, and the ability to filter them in many useful ways.
Tip: Unfortunately you can’t preview them out of the box, but hopefully there’s a solution for that. Simply right click, and send item to chat. Then by using the addon below (ItemPreview), you will be able to right click and preview the item in its full glory!
ItemPreview
Author: Shinni
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1622-ItemPreviewFurnitureArmorWeapons.html
Once more, I think that being able to preview armor / furniture etc. is an essential feature, that should have been provided by the game.
So go ahead and install this baby, it will pop up a magnifying glass on all items you can preview, and quickly get a taste of how the armor you looted looks, or if all these furniture recipes in your bank are worth keeping for your future house.
Inventory Grid View
Author: Randactyl & ingeniousclown
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info65-InventoryGridView.html
Must. Have.
I’m pretty sure a great portion of ESO’s player base has a great experience with MMO games or RPGs in general, and having a list inventory is irritating.
It’s immersive and nice when you’re starting out, but very soon it will be impossible to manage hundreds of items by being able to see only a few at a time.
Item Saver
Author: Randactyl & ingeniousclown
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info300-ItemSaver.html
If you are a set / item collector, this one is essential.
I personally deconstruct everything and just keep the set I’m wearing, but I’ve had a lot of friends in need, that wasted hours trying to not-deconstruct or lose an important item or weapon.
ItemSaver is extremely flexible, and yt
Itemization Browser
Author: code65536
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1480-ItemizationBrowser.html
This one provides the most accessible way to browse through all the item sets in the game, so that you can take your time and think on your build without leaving the game.
Harven’s Trait and Style
Author: Harven & merlight
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info436-HarvensTraitandStyle.html
Harven provides one more nice addition to his quality of life improvements, giving us the option to quickly check the racial style of a weapon / item, as well as whether its trait is researchable, currently being researched or known.
Votan’s Rune Tooltips
Author: votan
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info915-VotansRuneTooltips.html
A lore-friendly lightweight addon, that will enhance your rune descriptions, making it easier to identify its use when you are outside the enchanting table.
V. Essential Crafting & Trading AddOns
Craftstore DB
Author: Rhyono
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1590-CraftStoreDB.html
Craftstore is the holy grail of crafters in ESO, so even if I don’t say anything about it, you should have it!
It does A LOT of things (some you might want to deactivate from the gear icon), and will make your life a lot easier and faster, letting you focus on the game, and not calculations on your mind.
Briefly, it lets you track all known / unknown recipes for each character, marking them appropriately, so you can quickly learn recipes you don’t know, as well as prevent you from deconstructing an item with a trait you need to research.
There’s a neat dashboard that shows your research progress and timers as well, and what’s more there’s full lists of all the recipers and furniture in the game, as well as your progress towards completion. The same goes for style motifs.
Tip: When you install Craftstore, open the main screen, click your main character’s name, and tick on the 3 small boxes on the top rights of his stats. That is where you choose which characters you want to track, for which things.
Potion Maker (for Alchemy Crafting)
Author: facit, Khrill & votan
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info405-PotionMakerforAlchemyCrafting.html
An essential addon for potion making, since it lets you discover all recipes based on effects or ingredients, in a very lore-friendly and non-obtrusive way.
It just sits on the right tab of alchemy, letting you invoke it at will, and check on potion / poison recipes, and combinations you haven’t yet discovered.
Tip: Just click a material, Bugloss for example, then click on search. As you see in the screenshot, you will get a list of all the possible recipes you have, or haven’t yet discovered that contain Bugloss.
MultiCraft

This is definitely the most lightweight addon on the list, and one you simply can’t live without if you are crafting even a small bit.
It will simply add a number below each craftable, which you can set to the number of items you want to craft. Simple, and powerful (and should have been included in the base game as well).
Awesome Guild Store

I really advise new players to not even visit a guild trader without this addon.
It’s really a pity, how bad the guild trader interface is designed by Zenimax, and it’s really impossible to use it, if you are looking to go one level above casual with the “auction house” of ESO.
Awesome Guild Store, adds all the essential and missing parts you will need, with categories and advanced filters on each single step of the way.
Must-have.
Master Merchant

Master Merchant is that addon.
You know which one I’m talking about, the one that adds 2 minutes of loading time to your game, but you simply can’t go back if you start using it.
So beware friends, once you go MM, you never go back.
For the uninitiated, what MM does, is scans all the sales that happen in the guilds you are a member of. This way, day by day, and depending on how “big” your trading guilds are, you are going to get tons of sales data for each item in the game, letting you be 10 times more aware of what’s rare, what to farm, and how to get by with more money in ESO.
It’s not perfect. But that’s because ESO’s auction house system is far from polished (even though unique and engaging). So it will only scan sales from guilds you are a member of, leaving out a HUGE portion of sales all across Tamriel. And all that, by saving locally all this information in your machine, making the load times of the game a bit painful.
I wonder, will we get a website sometime? Combine data from all players / guilds and maintain an online database that a) leaves our loading time intact and b) provides 100 times more accurate and complete information on item prices?
Tip: You can also consult Tamriel Trade Center or TTC in short, but keep in mind the prices you get, are the listing prices, which might be quite far from what the item actually sells for.
Tip 2: Another great addon for OCD traders like me, is Price Tracker Updated. Similarly to TTC, you are scanning for listing prices, so might be far from sell prices. But what is neat, is that you get the option to manually scan a guild store, letting you data mine the guild traders you really care for, and generally let you have some manual input in the process. It is an overkill for casuals, but I had to share this hidden gem (props to Garkin & uladz for this one).
VI. Other Helpful AddOns
Azurah – Interface Enhanced
Author: Kith, Garkin, Phinix & Sounomi
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info602-Azurah-InterfaceEnhanced.html
Don’t get in the game with more than 10 addons, and without Azurah.
There’s bound to be some elements in your UI that stack up wrong, and cover important information, or simply look chaotic.
The fast and proper way to move any in-game UI element is Azurah. It will unlock everything for you (check screenshot above) so that you can place every element where you want it to be.
Tip: Simply type /azurah unlock in the game chat to unlock all the elements, and quickly arrange your interface.
Srendarr – Aura, Buff & Debuff Tracker
Author: Phinix, Garkin, Kith & silentgecko
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info655-Srendarr-AuraBuffDebuffTracker.html
It might be the WoW in me (and 1.3M other downloaders), but even though there’s many solutions for buff tracking out there (even in-game settings that get overlooked), I use Srendarr.
There’s amazing customization options here, letting you group “buff types” and move them anywhere on the screen, while keeping a different design for each one.
So for example, you can make sure to have all your long buffs on the bottom right of the screen, the short buffs & effects on the right of your HP bar, as well as the opponent’s buffs and debuffs on his.
It will make you better in combat just by using it, since now you’ll be able to track all your cooldowns and ability durations on your targets, letting you optimize your rotation, dps & support without even thinking about it.
Tip: Spend some time in the settings to understand which buff groups are assigned to which module, so that you can prepare a nice setup, and never have to think about it again.
pChat
Author: Puddy & Ayantir
Link:http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info93-pChat.html
The WoW in me No2 wants me to have this one.
It makes chat. proper! You choose how names show up (character names, account names or both), all the colors and fancies, timestamps, copy pasting, fast channel swaps and chat history.
Tip: The hardcore socials might want to check out on TOM (Tamriel Online Messenger), as it lets you keep a separate tab for all your whispers and private interactions, so you never have to scroll & search for your friends’ chat or multiple WTS’s.
WPamA (What Pledges at my Alts)
Author: ForgottenLight & OlegS
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1190-WPamAWhatPledgesatmyAlts.html
An amazing addon and must-have for altoholics, since it lets you track various things across all your characters, like the essential currencies, undaunted & world boss dailies and many more.
I’m on my knees to the addon authors, please guys let us track the crafting writ dailies as well in there!!!
True Exploration
Author: Shinni

If you are rich, and don’t have a care in the world, you can experience Tamriel the way it was meant to be.
Your whole map is a beige fog of war, waiting for you to explore it as if playing Oblivion for the first time, and after 14 hours of exploring you go for a pee and search the bathroom’s corners for any trolls or bats that might be lurking in the corners.
Anyone who uses this, WTT my life.
VII. How to Manage All These AddOns
Circonians Addon Selector
Author: Baertram
Link: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1161-CirconiansAddonSelector.html
In order to manage all these addons, you really need to have this one.
Trust me, there will be times where you want to check and test things, and it’s hard to remember your exact setup etc. in a time of need.
So once you setup your perfect addon combination, go to Circonians, and create a set which you can load at will, with a single click.
Tip: I also use a “vanilla” set, where everything is deactivated, so that I can quickly test an addon by itself, or make several other compatibility tests between addons.
This Is The End
Phew, that’s been a long one, and trust me it was really hard hand-picking the most essential addons out of the 200+ ones I use, keeping in mind to not bloat your loading times & interface, as well as provide addons that stay up to date & usable through all the expansions and DLCs that come out.
Keep an eye on this list, as it will get updated when and if better or other unique addons come out, that provide unique interactions and fun into playing The Elder Scrolls Online!
What do you use guys? Which addons you can’t live without? Which addons from this list you think should not be here, are overkill or you have better alternatives? Let us know in the comments, and let’s create the Holy Grail of ESO Addons together.
To be honest, I just started using AlphaGear two weeks ago again, and I guess I’m keeping it this time!
I will update the list if it does prove to be a better addon overally!
