| posted 11-06-09 08:02 PM EDT (US) yea ive been playing for a month now and only once in a while have i encountered CRC Mismatch on a few games. but today everygame was a CRC mismatch and when i tried to join it just said CRC Mismatch.. what is it and how can i solve it? | |

The play in these games you must download the Fan Patch, but if you have that on, you will not be able to go into other non-FP games. Fan Patch is mainly played by higher skilled players. I would reccomend you playing on the standard RE (Robot Entertainment) Patch. Just ignore the CRC Mismatch for now. 1st Leiut. with Russia , Master Sergeant with everything else. So in the end, as long as people dont lame india/iros (in 3 vs 3 its okay), I wont mind playing any game. CRC Mismatch is often caused by modifying core game files, so if you've done any of that recently (maybe downloaded a mod) then reverse the changes and the problem should be fixed |

I couldn't play AOE3 because I updated with the built in updater but on TAD I downloaded the update from the site and that one worked for me. I just reinstalled AOE3 and just downloaded the updates manually instead of in game and it worked. |
